Appetizers
 

Our motto is, when having folks over, the more the merrier. That stands for people and for appetizers. The biggest struggle with appetizers is that they truly are a second meal, and they are just too delicious to resist. Even with that being said, we're still going to do it every time. What better way to come together than to pile a small plate with a bunch of finger foods with dipping deliciousness, hang out, play games, and catch up with friends and family. If you're not having any company, then appetizers can turn into the meal. In my family, we call it a "carpet picnic" because we used to lay a blanket in front of the fireplace and sit on the ground with our kids for dinner. It is an all time favorite memory, and Joe and I still have carpet picnics laden with cheese, crackers, salmon dip, veggies, and sumptuous spreads.
